It’s been a good few months since my last blog. I recently became a house-owner (yay), so my life for the past 4 months has been full of diy and decorating, but now that I’ve settled and house projects have come to a halt, I’ve found myself getting itchy feet again and day dreaming of whisking off somewhere, even if only for a weekend. So to combat those itchy feet, I’m writing a series of blog posts on my top 10 travel destinations in the world.
I can’t complain really, because we have booked a holiday to Turkey next year, which I am mega excited for! But I think because Turkey has never been on my bucket list, I’m getting itchy feet to continue ticking those places off. It’s not just about going away for a bit and seeing a different part of the world, but it’s also about completing what is essentially my life long goal.
Below is my list of top 10 travel destinations in the world. There are some places which are definitely high up on my list which I haven’t included, such as parts of Australia and Thailand, because they’re not one off holidays to me. I couldn’t fly over to Sydney for a week, come back home and then start planning my holiday to Cairns for next year. If I go to Aus, I would have to try and see as much of it as possible in one hit, the same with Thailand and that kind of dream trip would warrant it’s own blog post.
The same goes very much for Germany too. There is so much of Germany I want to see, but I already have my dream trip planned out as a road trip. So the below 10 are literally just one-off holiday trips to me; there’s no other locations or ambitions attached to them.

I figured rather than write one huge blog post, I’m going to dedicate a blog post to each destination. So keep checking back! This week I’m starting with Amsterdam.
